# Prerequisites

## **Access**

* Your organization has been **enabled for Spark MCP** by GWI (trial or contract).

## **Where you’ll run it — choose one**

* **An LLM workspace** that supports custom connectors (e.g., **Claude Web/Desktop**; ChatGPT with custom connectors), **or**
* **Your own MCP-compatible agent/client**.

## **How you’ll authenticate — choose one**

* **OAuth 2.0 (recommended):** Sign in with your **GWI login** (email/password or SSO). Best for Claude and ChatGPT.
* **Access token:** For **developer/custom agents** that don’t support OAuth.

> **Rule of thumb**: If your LLM supports custom connectors, use OAuth. Use a token only for headless/dev environments.
